Take a look at our brother. Who would have ever thought he would have to go through such a tragic thing in his life. He is such a strong person. Something like an ruptured ansurysm, stroke, finding out he was born without the left vessel in his brain, several procedures, vessel clamping, being put on a ventilator, and so many more things done to him...... yet he never give up the fight. He placed his life in God's hands, and he has began to bring him back to us. He never gave up fighting. When Dr's. kept giving us very little hope to go on, Jeffrey proved them wrong. Jeff has a long road ahead of him, but he won't let this keep him down cause he is a determined man and very strong willed. We will see him be the person he was here in this picture. Such tradegy and yet we as a family still don't know how to come together and stand by each other, support one another, cry with each other, and most of all LOVE each other. I just wonder what it will take for us all to wake up and realize, we only have each other. Petty things seem to become major things in a matter of seconds. We look for someone to blame, a reason why, and most of all... how can I make them feel worse than I do. We push each other out of our lives, so we don't have to say were sorry. We would rather make up with an enemy, than say sorry I made a mistake. Time will only tell if we learn a lesson from what our brother went through, we don't seem to have from losing our MOM. GOD..... help our family to become closer and let things from the past.... go. God Bless Jeffrey. We love him dearly.

Our new addition
We are the proud family of a new puppy. His name is Knox Carney. He is a
Yorkie. John and the kids were begging me for a dog, and I wasn't sure if I
wanted to get one or not. I told them it had to be small because it was going
to be inside. I'm not big on animals in the house, but he isn't a breed that shed's
alot. We looked at different kinds of small dogs and we fell in love with this
kind of dog. He is a hand full, yet very loving. We've only had him about three
weeks. When we got him, his hair was so long and dirty from being out in a
barn. I took him home and immediately gave him a bath. We decided to take him for his first haircut, because the hair was so long and in his eyes. We told the girl at Pet Smart to trim him like he's suppose to look. We never expected
what we saw when she was done with him. A totally different dog. As you will see in the picture's he looks so different with his new first hair cut. We are
having so much fun with him.

Growing Up!
It's been a while since I've blogged, and there have been lot's of things happening around here. I let Katrina get her learner's permit when she was in school, and I knew this summer she would be wanting to get her driver's license. I wanted to wait as long as possible, but the day came to take the road test and she was nervous and I was terrified. Don't get me wrong, she is a very good driver but I was not ready for her to be a driver. Sure enough.... She PASSED!
Of course my insurance went through the roof, and my stress level has risen. I still was in denial that she was actually going to drive by herself until the next day, she wanted to drive her and Brandon to church. I was scared to death. She was thrilled. Then, the next time she drove alone. John and I felt like we were going to have a panic attack and then die. We look at her and see her growing up and becoming a little woman before our eye's...

May is almost gone...
I have been dreading this month for several reasons, and now it's about to be a new month. For one; we are all reminded of what happened this month 7 years ago. Another year gone and still it get's no easier. I miss Mom everyday. I wonder if it will ever get better for us as a family. She was the glue that held us all together. She will forever be loved and missed.

Happy Mother's Day
Friday at work all the managers were wishing the mother's that work there a good Mother's Day. As the day went on I kept hearing people talk about what they were getting their Mom's, and how they were going to take their Mom to dinner. I kept having this sick feeling in my stomach, cause I knew that we couldn't celebrate with our Mom, except going to the grave and visiting. I guess I'm just selfish because I want her here in the flesh. Katrina and I go to Walmart today to grocery shop and it was so crowded with people grabbing gift's for their Mom's. It just hurt's so bad, because we got cheated out of a great Mother, and she got cheated out of her life. Cancer is taking so many people's lives. I hope someday soon they find a cure for cancer. I know Mom is in a glorious place, and she is having the time of her life with our Savior Jesus Christ, and her Mother. I miss her and long to see her again. Happy Mother's Day to Mom and all the Mother's out there.

Pray for Connie
I understand Connie has had her first round of chemo, and we all know how hard that can be on a person's body. I hope she, Jeffrey, and Heaven will be able to deal with these changes that are about to happen in her life. I can remember back to the first treatment Mom had, and the way it ran her poor body down. I hate this for Connie, Jeff and Heaven. This is going to be difficult for them. Connie is a strong person and she will over come this. I know GOD is a healing GOD, but without the gift GOD gave to these doctor's to be able to help other's, sometimes we need to have more than just faith that we can be healed. We have to have help from doctor's. God doesn't expect us to sit back and do nothing. If there are cure's for illnesses, we should use these resources to get better. I pray that GOD will lay his hand's on Connie's cancer and remove it from her body. People say thing's happen for a reason, but I don't believe that GOD intended for this to happen for a reason. I know there are lesson's to be learned from situation's that occur. I pray that Connie doesn't suffer in pain, that she be able to live a long life and see her daughter grow up. God is so wonderful to us and he will hear our prayers. Please everybody keep praying for Connie.

I'm Falling Apart
For the last month I have been in and out of the Doctor's office. I made me an appointment for several reason's. For the last year I have been having this problem with my left foot hurting when I walk or step the wrong way. I thought maybe I hurt it at work and it would eventually get to feeling better. It hasn't gotten better, infact it has gotten worse. I went to have it ex-rayed and my doctor said it's Plantar Fascia (heel spurs). It is not exactly in my heel, it is more on the inside of my left foot. My doctor said it was so inflammed and the spur didn't look right, so now guess where I'm headed? To an Orthopedic Surgeon, and also a therapist. I have never felt such pain in my life. My doctor stuck me three times in my foot and injected me with cortisone and a numming medicine. He tells me to not be walking on concrete or running for two week's. That's funny, because I walk at work on concrete for 8 hours everyday. My foot was feeling pretty good after the shot's I got, until I didn't listen and went for a walk on Tuesday and over- did it. Now I'm back to square one. I go Tuesday to the Orthopedic Doctor, this should be fun and costly. I also found out that my iron level is so low it's scary. I am now on a high potency iron medicine, and I'm anemic. I couldn't figure out why I was so tired all the time, and felt terrible. It seemed like every chance I got I wanted to sleep. Still dealing with my hair loss, which my doctor said number one reason for that is stress, and feeling like I'm going to have a nervous break down; I'm just not sure what else is going to go wrong with me. I have, however lost 6 pound's since my last doctor's appointment a week ago. If thing's don't improve, I guess they'll have to put me down like a dog.(ha!ha!) If anyone has any suggestion's for my foot problem, PLEASE don't hesitate to tell me. Believe me I've tried just about everything.
